Midwest Central Railroad (MCRR) Midwest Central Railroad is a non-profit, all volunteer museum operation associated with the Midwest Old Thresher’s Reunion for over 30 years. The railroads sole source of income is from passenger fares and the RR gift shops located at both stations. If you would like to become a part of this operation, just talk to any member or ask one of the conductors for details on becoming one of MCRR’s valued volunteers. An extra hand is always welcome with the countless year-round projects required to keep the railroad operating smoothly. While waiting for your train to arrive, be sure to visit one of the gift shops for the finest in railroad souvenirs. There you will find gift items including belt buckles, T-shirts, caps railroad videos and toys for the kids. The locomotive shops are always open for inspection. Visit the facilities where these historic engines are restored to like-new condition. In addition to the operation during Old Threshers, MCRR hosts two unique family events.
